We tried to make
Doran EVs
as green as it gets:
We and our suppliers use no solvents or other VOCs (Volatile
Organic Compounds) during manufacture.
~ The body is made from recyclable polyethylene (the
same stuff as surf kayaks and the newer IGLOO coolers).
~ All "painted" metal parts are powder coated (no
VOCs).
~ Lead-acid batteries recycling is in the high
90's%. (The most successful recycling
programs in the world. The lead, the acid, and the plastic case
are all recycled.)
Doran EVs are almost
completely recyclable. |
Some electric power
is
as clean as it gets:
AND ~ More and more electric power is coming from renewable
sources everyday.

The gasoline for your car comes across the
ocean in oil burning tankers, goes to polluting refineries,
and is then delivered to your neighborhood in diesel belching

Doran Electric VehiclesTM
has been manufacturing and selling electric vehicles in the USA since 1988.
See the webpage about the
electric car.
Then, it built and sold electric motorscooters using the tradename EcoScoot
from 1992 to 1994. That division was sold.
Since 2000, Doran Electric Vehicles has been building utility vehicles, and has shipped electric ATVs to customers around the
world.
Being
silent and pollution free, the Doran Electric ATV is ideal for
security patrols, utility
uses on small farms and ranches (especially around animals), and even indoors. It carries 650 pounds, and tows 4000.
In 2000, 4-Wheel ATV Action Magazine pulled a
mid-size truck up a “decently steep grade.”
The magazine article also said:
“The power delivery of an electric motor
is
all it’s cracked up to be.”
The
Doran Electric ATV comes in two versions:
The
24-volt e-ATV 24 TM "Electric Work Vehicle” is limited to 14 mph, and handles
many farm, ranch, nursery, airport, commercial, and industrial tasks.
It has a range of up to 35 miles.
The
36-volt e-ATV 36TM "Electric Sport Vehicle" has a top speed of
about 18
mph, and is preferred by security patrols, and people wanting a little more
zip and fun.
The
Doran e-ATV uses common and inexpensive golf cart batteries, and its
on-board charger plugs into any 110-volt outlet.
No pollution, gas spills, or oil changes – ever;
and less than 1/3rd of the maintenance of gas powered
vehicles.
Besides
being electric, another Doran e-ATV advantage is its one-piece, hi-impact,
molded
plastic
body. Color impregnated during
manufacture; the body is impossible to dent, and
there’s
no paint to scratch, peel, or pollute the air during production.

Article says a
typical gas mower, used 30 minutes per week for a year, pollutes
as much as a modern car driven 86,000 miles.
Imagine how badly
