Benefits

Quiet	The first comment we normally hear from our customers: *"I can't believe how quiet it is."* The e-ATV is completely silent when idling, and extremely quiet while driving.
No Fumes	There is no exhaust and no fumes from gas or oil. For some people these are serious health issues. It should be a concern for all of us.
Powerful	The e-ATV is about 40% more powerful than a golf cart for two reasons. We use a 14.76:1 rear end ratio (compared to golf cart's ~12.5:1). This "granny gear" provides more torque to the rear wheels also reducing amp draw. Then, we also use a higher speed and higher torque electric motor. This really helps when climbing hills, and towing loads.
Efficient	This "granny gear" (see above) provides more efficient running of the motor. We also have less rolling resistance due to narrower (efficient) tires, and better steering geometry. Then, at half the weight of a golf cart, it takes half the energy to climb hills. Also, REGEN braking !
Small Footprint	At 33" wide and six feet long, the e-ATV fits into places where golf carts are not welcome, or just don't fit. We often park on sidewalks in front of businesses. The e-ATV also takes less room for storage in garages. Where golf carts take an entire parking place, the e-ATV can often fit into a garage with cars, or even on patios. (can be as little as 30" wide, see industrial options)
Simple	Compare a gas engine with hundreds of little parts and auxiliary items; with an electric motor's armature with a bearing on each end.
Minimal Maintenance	No oil to change, exhaust systems to rust, radiators to flush, carburetors to clog, fuel pumps, tanks, hoses, plugs, valves, filters, belts, etc. etc. Tire pressure, battery maintenance, and brakes that should last a decade or more; are all the maintenance that's required on the e-ATV.
Real batteries	We use real deep-cycle golf cart batteries; proven performers at thousands of golf course around the world, often lasting six or more years in commercial fleets. Wimpy UPS (Uninterrupible Power Supply) sealed batteries are not made for this type of deep-cycle use. see batteries for more info
No Gas and hard-starting. Just unplug and go.	No trips to the gas station, and gas to go bad clogging carburetors. Just plug it into any 110vAC outlet, and the on-board charger automatically takes care of it. Export chargers are available.
No Oil and Made in the USA	Support the economy, your own economy, and energy self-reliance.
Tough and Durable	Powder-coated steel frame, hi-impact plastic body, and plated or stainless steel hardware, contribute to longevity and trouble-free operation.
Mobile Power Source	Using the "Anderson" connector (shown to the left), the e-ATV can be a mobile power source providing electric power out in the field. An inverter can be used to provide AC power, or many 12 and 24 volt accessories can be directly connected.

Description

Since 1999, Doran Electric Vehicles has been building vehicles for utility uses, and has shipped to customers around the world.

Being silent and pollution free, the Doran Electric ATV is ideal for farms and ranches (especially around animals), and even indoors.
It carries 650 pounds, and tows 4000 pounds.

In 4-Wheel ATV Action Magazine pulled a mid-size truck up a ¡°decently steep grade¡± using the e-ATV. The magazine article said: ¡°The power delivery of an electric motor is all it¡¯s cracked up to be.¡±

The Doran Electric ATV comes in two versions:

The 24-volt e-ATV 24^TM "Electric Work Vehicle¡± is limited to 14 mph, and handles many farm, ranch, nursery, airport, commercial, and industrial tasks. It has a range of up to 35 miles.

The 36-volt e-ATV 36^TM "Electric Sport Vehicle" has a top speed of about 18 mph, and is preferred by security patrols, and people wanting a little more zip and fun at the sacrifice of range.

The Doran e-ATV uses common and inexpensive golf cart batteries, and its on-board charger plugs into any 110-volt outlet. No pollution, gas spills, or oil changes ¨C ever; and less than 1/3^rd of the maintenance of gas powered vehicles.

Besides being electric, another Doran e-ATV advantage is its one-piece, hi-impact, molded plastic body. Color impregnated during manufacture; the body is nearly impossible to dent, and there¡¯s no paint to scratch, peel, or pollute the environment during production.
